About this Nominee
Placer SPCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of companion animals and supporting the human-animal bond. As the largest and most comprehensive animal welfare provider in the region, our Adoption & Education Center shelters up to 4,000 animals annually, offering shelter, medical care, and adoption services for displaced, homeless, and abandoned pets.
We are expanding our impact with the construction of an 8,800-square-foot Veterinary and Foster Care Center, enhancing lifesaving medical care for shelter and community animals. Placer SPCA proudly offers innovative programs, including environmental enrichment, behavior counseling, foster care, mobile adoptions, and pet retention services. We operate independently from ASPCA or HSUS and are funded solely by donations, grants, bequests and fees for service.
